Bollysass Dance

Kaajal is a Mehndi Artist and Bollywood dance teacher based in Hackney. She has performed all over the world, and recently works with Bitten Peach, an LGBTQ+ Asian performance group, with shows at London venues and at Glastobury. On this immersion, she taught the group 'Bollywood Sass' for the morning along with some of her students.

DabbaDrop is a London takeaway service which prides itself in making fresh, plant-based curry meals delivered emission-free to your door (the 'drop') in guilt-free reusable tins (the 'dabba'). We met Anshu, the co-founder, for lunch in East Ham along with her colleagues.

Made in Hackney

Made in Hackney is a the UK's first community vegan and vegetarian kitchen and centre who collaborate with communities to showcase and develop skills, knowledge and inspiration to grow, cook and eat more plants. We met them in Stoke Newington to meet with local community members.

Southall Tour with Sharan Dhaliwal

Sharan Dhaliwal founded the UK’s leading South Asian culture magazine Burnt Roti. Sharan is a speaker on race, culture, sexuality and beauty, and we met her in Southall for lunch and then had a tour around Southall, aka "Little India".
